It’s too bad Americans have grown so dull-witted. It’s also sad we’re still, as a nation, so racist. As we discovered that not only is President Barack Obama half Black (or half White, depending on your orientation), but he’s also related to:

Dick Cheney-
Sarah Palin-
George W. Bush!-

Wow! Well, maybe an “oh well,” would be more appropriate, but at any rate, I say all that to say that in this election year, we have forgotten what has happened, what’s at stake and where we’re going… should we fail to exercise intelligence and prudence, in voting to lend greater support to a President who, to this day, has not had the opportunity to be a president-in-full.  Ever defending his right simply to “legitimately” be there, he has not yet had a chance equal to that of his quite obviously inferior predecessor, who was afforded a most undeserved benefit of multiple doubts, we certainly deserve to be shown exactly what this man is made of, so that at the very least, he has an “equal opportunity” to put his own stamp on his own administration, with his own Congressional delegation, so that history will be a fairer judge than our racially biased prejudices.

Because at a moment past Barack Obama’s swearing-in as president, the Right wing declared war on his presidency. And making us all hostages in the process. At this rate, we may never know the potential of this man, as a president, but if we had not given George W. Bush the benefit of lo, those many doubts, imagine what pain, suffering and chaos the American people alone, could have saved the world. And ourselves… Something to think about as election day draw nearer…

Yet, we sit in solitary confinement, most of us anyway, contemplating the rage and psychosis of Republicans, Right-wing pundits, tea baggers and other racist-tinged/consumed/obsessed fanatics, who imagine our Democracy resembles even in some small way, mortal danger they erroneously imagine it to be, simply because an American electoral majority was intelligent enough to elect the very best candidate of the field in 2008. Well, as a late news flash, the danger has already passed! President Obama’s cousins are no longer in the White House and we can now be relieved that if, as of this coming Mid Term election, as we elect as many Democrats as possible, our nation will be back on track that much sooner and on the road to saving itself, as well as the world, from the hazards of big money, big lies and bigger delusions that we just barely survived during the 2001 through 2008 period. That we really aren’t in as much trouble as we allowed ourselves to get into previously, means we have an ever greater opportunity to place ourselves and our world, to the position we were just as President Bill Clinton was departing the White House.

And speaking of great Presidents, much of our collective issue is we fail to give credit where it certainly is due. We can’t blame President Obama and in fact are wrong to, without taking into consideration all of what he inherited. We also cannot appreciate the absolutely dismal job performance of the previous administration, without taking into consideration the posture President Clinton left the nation and the world at large, as of January 20, 2001.  As such, here’s a trivia question for you boys and girls: Can anyone honestly remember the last time we had money in the bank, when the one administration was handed off to its successor?

As we were poised to be rid of a national debt, accumulated by 12 years of Republican inefficiency, negligence and irrationality, in nearly any and every category of performance, bring peace to every corner of the globe (INCLUDING AND ESPECIALLY the Middle East), uplifted the viability of developing nations, while simultaneously tutoring on how to avoid the mistakes developed nations have already experienced (regarding resource management, the valuation of education, pollution monitoring and control, avoiding imperialistic tendencies, corrupt governmental practices, impacting lurid business/government associations, as well as the benefits of maintaining a clean and healthy Liberal, Democratic society and related institutions), our nation and by extension, the world at large, were moving in a direction never before witnessed in the history of human civilization!

Because this didn’t occur, it’s easier to dismiss this sort of projecting and yes, imagining, as far-fetched, but depend on Republicans and their zany Right-wing supporters to mess up even the simplest of tasks.

To understand that 30 years ago – EXACTLY – President Jimmy Carter placed atop the White House, Solar Panels. The purpose? To set both an example and a trend, as to where we would be heading, in order to tame our obsession over the use of cheap, fossil fuel energy sources. Of course, fossil fuels were never cheap, with the associated costs figured in, and then calculated as a whole. But the warning had already sounded, in the form of the oil embargo of the mid-1970′s, coupled with the decline (even at that time) of easily accessible petroleum reserves world-wide.

President Carter’s bold plan would have resulted in America and no doubt, much of the planet, being free of the addiction to burning petroleum, using it, instead, in more vital, life-saving, and much less dangerous methods. This plan was to develop totally renewable sources of clean energy, that would have cost pennies on the dollar, and saved trillions in military, pollution, health and environmental costs, that as of today, are all threatening to destroy our national stability, as well as our probability to survive as a species, beyond the next two centuries.

Taking up such awesome challenges are not things Republicans have the ability to perform. If it’s not about personal enrichment and attaining ultimate, unilateral power over everyone in sight, Republicans and their Right-wing confederates don’t want to even consider it. Because the future is so far away, it is their philosophy to ignore it altogether! But can the rest of us be comfortable taking this same perspective? Can we really, in good conscience, doom future generations to a miserable, hellish existence, that will only progressively worsen, the longer we take to make the decision that Climate Change is indeed a problem and is, unequivocally, our responsibility?

Oh course then, it’s no wonder that young voters have soured on the president. With his legacy firmly tied to that of both Presidents Clinton and Carter, the media itself, has joined in on the hate campaign against President Obama, to ensure he, as well as all Democrats up for election this fall, fail in their effort to lend a hand in saving this nation. To turn the nation back over to Republican control would be the height of irresponsibility and the equivalent of a suicide pact among those voters committing such a horrendous wrong against a nation that is the last beachhead against tyranny and political and economic oppression.

After all, if you allowed an acquaintance to drive your car while drunk, and they crashed it, would you then, give them the keys and allow them to continue driving? This is the choice we, as a nation, are facing at this moment. We know what Republicans have done to this nation. We have seen it with our collective eyes and have already decided that going in a Liberal, Progressive direction, is what will put us back on track. No matter what the tea baggers say, they are Republican through and through. Their presence is the same as Republicans, in opposition to policies of the president and the direction the nation absolutely needs to embark upon, in order to save this Democracy.

We owe it to ourselves to escape from the fictional world painted by Republicans, tea baggers and the media and have the courage to vote our convictions and give OUR PRESIDENT a hand in his – and ‘OUR’ moment of urgent need…

Think this through as this election season winds down. There is much more at stake than you know…  And this leads us back to the trivia question above and how much the nation had in the bank, as of January 19, 2001: the total was around $300 billion – give or take a few hundred million.  But who’s counting?  Whether it’s saving money or saving the nation, Liberal/Progressives have historically done it better and is a reality we need to be especially mindful of this November…

Legitimacy Measures – Part One

In the endless search for reasons – any and all – to show the highest degree disrespect any American president has ever endured, the one thing we can be assured of is the vile, disgusting, ignorant stupidity of racism has not regressed at all!

If White people do NOT denounce race-based, hate-inspired attacks on President Barack Obama – and more directly, repudiate the attackers openly, then they too, share in the shame and disgrace that stains the whole of the White race, for not collectively maturing and erasing such behaviors and beliefs from their broad psyche and literal belief foundations.

Because of the converse reality that, although over 90% registered Black voters rejected the candidacy of George W. Bush, an awesome and extremely accurate observational measurement by any calculation – saw none of the belittling, disrespectful, petty or racist attacks, associating his personal, business or executive failures, his legacy entitlements, allowing someone with his inept academic history, to be accepted at such a revered institution as Yale, because of family traditions, cowardice in securing an unprovisional waiver from Vietnam, where his 2000 election year presidential opponent, Al Gore, and tens of thousands of other young men fought, bled and died in his place, from years in a drug-addled stupor, or his astounding obtusion, at his absolute inability to grasp the extent he was being manipulated and used, in the destruction of lives and livelihoods of tens of millions of Americans and their families, all for the enrichment of the handful of White individuals, share holders and their corporations.
As an American of diverse background, I have had the pleasure and distress of experiencing the race issue from a multitude of angles, allowing me a very distinct perspective, unlike many ordinary Americans – White or Black, meaning that what is contained herein, is a measure of truth Americans are still traumatized over, and unable, at this late date in this American drama, to deal with on a mature level. Meaning, that the Whites who refuse to defend the president, as well as the Blacks too afraid to speak up – knowing such ignorance should be vehemently rejected at every opportunity.

Fear of speaking out has cost this nation dearly, now going on three centuries. Knowing slavery was wrong, sexism, racism and child oppression, exploitation and brutality of the working class child and adult, to the point of being dangerous to their safety and economic mobility, all were immoralities that, in common, rational agreement, and as a nation have, over time, corrected these evil afflictions. But we have not departed from this road altogether.  Truth was in economic, as well as a patriarchal inconvenience, of which its speakers – then as now – tip-toe around, for fear of offending the guilty!

Every member of the above-mentioned class, has been severely injured – intentionally, since 1980. The right to engage in free speech and dialogue is a given, just as we have the right to arm ourselves – with knowledge, intelligence and wisdom, against stupidity, ignorance and induced lunacy. The failure to responsibly defend ourselves and our nation from such forces, is a failure of human culture and contradicts the suppositions and claims of our achieving the highest levels of sophistication and intelligence, reflective of this contemporary human civilization model. Embracing rational dialogue and people gives legitimacy to our civilization. We need to stand with the president and those choosing to raise the intelligence level of each other and shame those with rejection and isolation, those who insist on behaving with the minds of childish, immature brats!
It is, after all, the child who is selfish, rude, unable to share or to give selflessly. Only upon maturity, do children realize cooperative efforts with others is the surest route to comprehensive, broad-based success for as many as are involved – and beyond! Nor for the child alone, or exclusively, either. But for the entirety of the community. This is the lesson shared commitment. Shared sacrifice. This is the lesson of America and the fundamental essence of Democracy. But this was the failure of our nation and its citizens, over this previous 10 years, as we allowed fear, confusion and intellectual oblivion, to rule our very critical and essential civic considerations.

Breaking down along the fault zones of racism, some Americans sought refuge in the fact that a Caucasian president exploited feel-good policies, for the advancement of class fortifications and enrichment, exclusively. With star-spangled, wild-eyed, fanatically patriotic zeal, these same Americans, unaware of their own history, discounted one such true patriot, Samuel Johnson, who was famously quoted on the eve of the Revolution, in April of 1775, to “…beware! Patriotism, being the last refuge of scoundrels, is a false and hollow sanctuary, used to conceal the treacherous heart of deceit…“ And while the wealthiest one percent of the American population got even wealthier, the bottom 97% are on a rocket-ride to an economic crash of cataclysmic proportion!

The racist nature of the attacks on President Obama, relate to the fiction that this is all his doing, fault and responsibility. Never mind that as of November, 2008, our choice was also another United States Senator, by the name of John McCain…

Now that crazies rule the business, political, even the media world, it’s no wonder the future looks so bleak! The sad truth is, however, this: when Republicans are in office, they’re all over the place in the media. When Democrats are in the White House, Republicans are STILL all over the place in the media! Translation being, we’re subjected to an inordinate degree of indoctrination – hypnosis, if you will, into thinking like Conservative Republicans and it has made us all nuts!!!

Case in point: where President Barack Obama “seems” to be ineffective, is merely a result of our “perceptions” of what we’ve been exposed to, by force, over the last 17 consecutive months – that he’s no good and a “bad” president, by predominant media accounts. Truth is, nobody – NOT ANYONE, can be as bad as the moronic administration they (Conservative Republicans) served up to the American people, this last previous term, which is why they are putting all their resources to bear on making President Obama “appear” as bad, as inept, as incompetent, as the products they normally serve up for the executive.

The Gulf of Mexico oil catastrophe was 30 years in the making. If we had listened to President James Carter 31 years ago, returning him to the White House in re-election, consequently, we would be nearly, if not completely, free of the need to “burn” such a valuable mineral resource as petroleum, and thus, severely injuring the earth and its life sustaining capacity, in the process. As a result, Ronald Reagan began the process, with assistance from the last administration, in completing the process, of destroying the functionalability of government, so that of course, it doesn’t and cannot work as it should.

The last things we needed, were forced upon us, by the previous administration and indoctrinated into our value system as a result, by the media, over the course of this past 9 years: tax cuts only to the wealthy and corporations, burning more fossil fuels faster and war.
The first thing on the last administrations’ agenda was to halt the Clean Air Initiative, proposed in California (that would eventually have set the standard nationally), to re-classify SUV’s as small pickups trucks, as well as removing the pollution-hazard designation from SUV’s altogether. The result has been a dramatic increase in CO2 levels and an equally startling increase in Climate Degradation.

As for tax cuts, President William Jefferson Clinton showed us AND Republican Conservatives, that tax cuts to the broad spectrum of income earners, along with R&D and various other tax offsets and incentives, was the best way to revive an economy mugged and assaulted by Republican policies and ideology. Leaving a fiscal surplus at the time he left office, and a functional, whole economy in the process, was the most responsible thing any president has done the entire 20th century! Not to mention the fact that we didn’t engage in warfare, unnecessarily costing the lives of Americans and foreign citizens alike, world-wide.

But this wasn’t good enough for the American people, as we engaged in juvenille, peeping-tom shinanagans, prying into the personal life of the president and allowing such crude, psycho fetishes to be paraded all across – you guessed it – the predominate, corporate media. Made issue of in the 2000 election, we had become a sanctimonious bunch, demanding pristine morality from anyone else to enter the White House… and we let Republican voters decide this… and we see how that has gone over…

It’s a given that we didn’t have to go to war, either in Afghanistan nor Iraq. As it is too late to backtrack and correct the situation, we are now under the hypnotic, self-delusive misapprehension that the war, the economy and the oil spill are all the fault of President Obama! I will ask the reader to honestly re-read this article, up to this point, in reconsideration of this entire paragraph, to get a sense of the madness that has gripped the psyche of a fairly large proportion of the nations adult population. As the media has done everything possible to cloud issues relating to healing the nations wounds, inflicted by un-American, economically dangerous, possibly treasonous policies, by the previous administration, where do we go from here?…

Up next: Part II – What Americans can do – of all political parties, in “instructing” our representatives on where we WILL lead them…

If we trust no one and nothing else, we absolutely MUST trust our instincts. We are not wrong on this, the issue of Climate Degradation, otherwise, why are corporations and their paid spokes-legions persistently trying to convince the more rational amongst us, that the phenomena of Climate Change is not what we actually are witnessing before our bewildered and disbelieving eyes?

How, after all, can we not be alarmed that roughly 15 of the 17 largest fishing regions identified world-wide, are in imminent danger of complete collapse? Or the fact that in the very center of the largest body of waters on earth (the Pacific ocean) – of all places on the planet – that acidification has not only reached this furthest most oceanic region, but is in fact rising? Never mind what this does, all the way down to microscopic life forms at the bottom of the food chain; what is of concern here is the deteriorating ability of the oceans, to continue the natural process of absorbing airborne CO2. Upon reaching this “limit,” imagine the cycles that will irreversibly be set into motion…

Likewise, no one appears very concerned (beyond citizens of a specified locale) that aquifers around the continental United States are dwindling so quickly, they WON’T replenish fast enough to meet demand, that increases yearly. In our attitude of seeing only endlessness of resources and negligible environmental impact, we are failing to see beyond the horizon, the world we are leaving to our progeny.

I’m reminded of a quote from the textbook of a recent Environmental Sustainability class I attended, which (to paraphrase) said, “…the worst invention of humankind was the interest rate; this has led to payback periods; discount rates; rational, quantitative excuses for ignoring the long term…” Simply put, our ability to absorb and comprehend is now limited to the next paycheck or election, which leaves us ignorantly unaware of the longer term, or how, when the U.S. simultaneously changed (downgraded) mile-per-gallon requirements on passenger cars/trucks/SUV’s, while blocking a recently (2001) implemented California law, mandating a solid percentage of new vehicles sold there MUST possess non-fossil fuel burning capacity. Just by guesstamation, the assumption would point toward a precipitous increase in CO2 levels, accelerating Climate Degradation.

So, are we not at all conscious, or are we simply sleep walking through this fast-expanding catastrophe? I say this to make a point, that there are more of us than there are of them (the nay-sayers and deniers), and Democracy still matters, by virtue of the cumulative effect of the voting process.

The will of the majority however, must be specifically articulated, to a degree of unequivocation. Particularly, in the instance of a crisis that is allowed to drag out, getting worse as time goes. This current situation with the explosion and fire that claimed 12 workers on the Deep Water Horizon oil rig, in the Gulf of Mexico is the dreaded example we’ve always feared. British Petroleum (BP), like other petroleum producers, operates with absolute disregard for customers, it’s employees and even nature itself. As time has gone by, we now know that with the installation of a $500,000 switching device was all that would have prevented the explosion and resulting oil spill that inevitably is going to defile the natural habitat and destroy the economy of an entire region, still recovering from Hurricane Katrina. What would it have taken to put mind and energy to action, for aversion of this catastrophe? The addiction we have to cheap energy, cheap oil in particular, is something we must break ourselves from, but oil money continues being the impediment to our becoming what was the goal of President Jimmy Carter, exactly 30 years ago.

Since then, we have completely abandoned his recommendations for national, even international energy independence, from petroleum. Well aware of the horrible after-effects caused by ALL fossil fuel use, it should be clear. President Carter, although a bit too cerebral and serious for the intellectually challenged, was no less a visionary in predicting that conflict, war and suffering would be the result of continues petroleum use, or failure to diversify our energy options. Events of the last decade have more than proven this point beyond the shadow of any such doubt.
Because of the duel wars our nation is currently waging, being a people given to fairness and justice, we are very apprehensive over the continuation of these wars, but are unable to extract ourselves, because of the “nature” of our objectives. Both nations are mineral rich and present strategic opportunities for our diplomatic and military goals. There is also the little problem of a disaffected population, who will be just a bit infuriated over being occupied for 10 years or longer.

But what is best way to proceed, in spite of these events?

Since we no longer enjoy the benefit of a national economic surplus, we can’t offer aid to these nations as bargaining chips, to consider a comprehensive constitutional Democratic governmental model, such as ours here in the United States. This was part of the effort of the Clinton administration, for its entirety, to get developing nations to engage with the larger world community, for their social, economic and environmental advantage. Imagine the continued outreach, as was extended to Africa, Central and South America, Asia and the Pacific nations, who showed an intense desire to emulate our better qualities?

Beyond government and economics, there is the matter of education, which is now in crisis not only in America, but in nations throughout the world, due to dire economic dilemmas. What could we gain, as a nation and a civilization, if we were to identify and nurture the minds and imaginations of all of our young people, toward the sustenance of all life and our natural world? What if our priorities were the uplift of ALL of the least among us? What would it mean to our economies, to our governments, to our societies, to forget about competition, and focus on creativity? The challenge to do for community, for nation, for the planet, is becoming an issue of greater significance, whether we recognize this fact or not.
Getting back to the Gulf oil spill catastrophe, the absence of quality, diverse educational backgrounds, is very much evident, from the greed of BP, Trans-Ocean and Halliburton, to the very limited engineering expertise of those who have been in the management process of these drilling operations, to the repair teams to the substances used to contain/neutralize the spill itself.

If the priorities of the oil companies remains central to our energy program, we will be in an even greater debacle, once it begins costing oil companies much more in expenditures, that it can reap in profits, as oil reserves worldwide, begin to plummet. We are already on the downward scale of available oil reserves, which begs the question of why a replacement material has not been in the experimentation process, or if already available, not introduced on the market, to replace gasoline/petroleum? Because, no that corporation control nearly every aspect of our lives, from our food, to clothing, to energy, to our money and politics, what will happen when an oil crash occurs and there simply is not enough for the myriad of operations it is now used for?

Have we put enough thought to this? Is it politics that will solve this problem? What about money, even though we are in an economic crisis, being the answer to decipher this obstacle? What about education? What about us? We, the people, have some good ideas, I’m sure. How about consolidating our will, in fact, toward initiatives that will limit – even eliminate the hazards of our destructively consumptive habits.
Being ever closer to the ecological “tipping point” of no return, we’d better come up with some viable choices really soon. Do we really want to risk running out of air to breathe and water to drink and soil for raising crops, before we run out of oil to burn? My bet is that we don’t…

In commemoration of my fifth year of publication, I’ll be republishing all of my blogs from the very beginning.  It should be noted that I tried this earlier and due to the illegal, warrantless and CRIMINAL surveillance I’m under, my newest blog was ERASED in mid-production.  Each time I’m on a computer, no matter where I am, I’m interrupted in this very same way.  Whomever is spying on me is terrified of me because I’m boldly stating what the compromised, bought-out, corporate media is both afraid to say and paid to leave unsaid and thus, are doing their utmost to harass, intimidate and make life as uncomfortable as possible.  The only way this will end is by every reader contacting their Congress person to force the government, state and local police agencies, as well as illegal military contractors operating right on the streets of our cities and towns, nation-wide.  By putting an END to this secretive, un-Godly terror, can we reclaim our Democracy BACK FROM EXILE

Original Publication Date – April 24, 2010

For some reason, Conservatives and Libertarians think this crisis and chaos began January 20, 2009. Apparently, they slept through the previous eight years. For that, they can be forgiven. However, the unforgivable sins continue to mount – namely, blaming President Obama, President Clinton, or any other soft, easy target, that will take attention off the facts… that since 1981, Americans wages, job options, educational opportunities and quality of living, all have been in decline.

We won’t need to debate the reality of this, as it will be an exercise in futility; but as Big Eddie Schultz would say, “…you’re entitled to your opinion, but not your own facts…” Which brings us to the reality that for eight consecutive years (well, maybe six; years seven & eight, the “sleepers” began to stir, as the house was going up in flames!), Conservative and Libertarian voters swore that the administration was on track and that we were just around the corner from prosperity. Really? Well, by ’08, we hit the corner. Then the ditch. Then over the cliff. But it wasn’t just the tax cuts, that again, for eight consecutive years, drained money from the treasury, nearly bankrupting the nation in the process.

If you look at the government as if a business, you have to concede that a business requires revenue. Without revenue, your business will fail. With me still? Good. If you offer a service people need, like say, medicare, paved roads, bridges, a space program to observe and contemplate the universe, an oversight agency to protect your pension and 401K, or an army, navy, marines and air force to protect the nation and its allies, then its up to the consumers of those goods and services to pay the necessary fees. Are we all following this so far? Good… Now, if for some reason, a decision is made to discount services, or give ‘em away for free, to, say, some of the “deciders” favorite friends, but jack up the rates for everyone else, that doesn’t seem very fair, now does it? And lets just speculate also, that due to unforeseen economic circumstances, some of the “rest” started losing jobs and were unable to afford the cost of those goods and services. And just as the business began to fail, friends of the “decider” began to steal cash out of the til. Lots and LOTS of cash! This was, in fact, the situation between 2001 and 2008. And it’s not hard to guess, but the business won’t be in business for very much longer. This is the fix we’re now in. This is the mess the current president has inherited. This is the crisis that must be undone before we can see any sort of result from the effort of putting criminals, crazies and good-for-nothings in a place where they can do no further harm to the “business.” But that won’t happen by taking the word of the same malcontents and criminal element, that were responsible for this disaster in the first place!

Now, everybody’s all up in arms on the Conservative and Libertarian side, because the banks got bailed out and blame the current administration for the bail. But, if that’s the case, why is this administration having to reset regulations, so that the criminal activity that was chronic over the previous eight years, will be, well, criminal again? And granted, some of these same regulations came off the books during the Clinton years, there was no criminalizing going on in the banking and investment systems over that same period (of the Clinton administration), to the degree it had, during the period of 2001-2008. There weren’t the job losses. The business failures. The wars. Ah yes, the wars…

Funny thing that transparency, being a normal part of business accounting practices, were as absent in the federal government between 2001 to 2008, as it was with Enron, Arthur Andersen, WorldCom, and a host of other firms, that used the “Enron” accounting methods, to “cook” their books and show only the sunny side of the ledger, concealing the “real” economic status, thereby swindling investors and customers out of millions, billions of dollars in investments. By failing to add the war to the cost of doing “business”, the previous administration also only showed the “sunny” side of the ledger (By the way, if this is too difficult to follow, you may want to pick up your GED before you go any further, with an economics class for good measure). Well, by the time the current administration was sworn in, they had no idea. And so here we are…

These are just a few of the uglier truths we are having to confront. If we do not, we may not get another opportunity. By listening to the advice of members of the Republican Governors Conference, in trying to romanticize about some obscure historical nobody (Guy Fawkes), who is likened in imagery and in the same company as civil war confederates.  But is more akin to our own Liberal/Progressive Rebels who fought their way through to a new nation – complete with a new Liberal/Progressive Constitution, Bill of Rights and a primer (The Federalist Papers) to ensure every citizen understood every passage of the Constitution and subsequent Amendments.  Telling this truth however, is sure to create more problems for Republicans who misunderstand enough already about our Liberal/Progressive history.  Owning greater understanding will inevitably force deeper reflection and in turn, slow down our momentum toward progress… Unless that’s the plan in rejecting realities and the obvious… Those ugly truths… just don’t quit do they?

But, the really big deal, it must be acknowledged, is the complexion of the current commander-in-chief. All of the stereotypes have been resurrected, full force, to make the case that the country is falling apart, because he occupies THE nation’s top leadership post. Good of you to notice. We Liberals and Progressives saw the signs seven years ago, made a big deal over it, but nobody paid attention. Oh yeah, you guys were sleeping (sorry, but I keep forgetting how folks suffering deep-seated pathologies – like racism, social dysfunctions, tendencies toward violent outbursts and behaviors, often detach from reality…)! Meanwhile, as Conservatives and Libertarians recovered from their long slumber, they awoke to a completely different reality. Only this time, this president is intelligent enough to walk, chew gum and holds a coherent conversation, and we’re all good with that, right? Can’t say that was the case the previous eight years; but whoever gets everything they want anyway?…

And as good a deal as it is for you guys on the other side to be fully awake now, it would be an even better deal if you’d roll up your sleeves, add some sweat and toil along with us Liberals and Progressives, and help rebuild a nation and world that YOUR VOTES are responsible for destroying! Democracy works best when every citizen is engaged… towards its betterment. And for better or worse, nobody stood in the way of the choice of Conservatives and Libertarians from 2001 through 2006… although we damn well should have…

Not to point fingers, but there comes a time to be responsible for your actions. If you bought it, claim it and be responsible for it! We plan to do just that, so get out of the way, at the very least, and let this president do his job… the way it’s SUPPOSE to be done!
